Where did you go?

Ahhhh.... I am ordering my school ring tomorrow. My school ring. I remember when my brother brought his home, I thought I was never going to be where I am today, but I was wrong, because it happened really quickly. I don't regret anything in my life, and I can't wait to move on with it. College. A job. A home. A family of my own. But sometimes.... sometimes I just wish to go back.
* Back when socks with ruffles were cool, the more ruffle to the sock the better they were. * Back when we used to be a sheet tent masters, having them so big throughout the house that there was no way to get to the other side without crawling, no matter who you were. * Back when, in those sheet tents, my brother and I would watch TGIF and eat little Wendy's frosties until 11 o'clock. * Back before I would have said "my brother and I" :) * Back when the classic nintendo games were the greatest ever, and everyone thought so. * Back when there were Polly Pockets, and Nanobabies * Back when we played kickball until the porch light came on, and then caught fireflies in empty pickle jars with holes in them for the rest of the night. * Back when we all loved Red Rover, Four Square, Mother May I, Red Light Green Light, and Running Through the Sprinkler. * Back before we realized how bad Mcdonalds really is, and just wanted to go there to be cool and eat a happy meal. * Back when we played outside all day, then whine about putting something over the thousand mosquito bites we had that night. * Back when all we had to worry about was if we brushed our hair good enough, brushed our teeth, which shoe on which foot, and getting them tied. * I mean, really, who has forgotten about Legends of the Hidden Temple, Double Dare, Global Guts, and Are you Afraid of the Dark? * I want to make decisions by going "Eenie Meenie Miney Mo" again. I want to play "Heads Up 7 Up" and love it. * Who in the world plays on Snick nowadays, and why aren't they any good at it?
These things make me wish to go back more so than anything, and although I can't go back physically, in my mind these things come up from time to time, and make me glad I had it while it lasted. No matter what happens in life, don't take moments for granted, people never realize how fast they pass by.
